The pewter box is 6.5 cm (2 1/2") long and 4 cm (1 3/4") wide and is deep enough to hold a child's tooth and a few coins. It has a little plaque on the inside with the words "for the Tooth Fairy" and comes with a special certificate signed by the Tooth Fairy herself!

Folklore states that when children lose one of their baby teeth, they should place it underneath their pillow and the tooth fairy will visit while they sleep, replacing the lost tooth with a small payment.
